TLDR: Our Shopify shop is getting a full visual overhaul, and it's just the first domino. cryptmonkeystudios.com and cryptmonkeygames.com are getting rebuilt too, cryptmonkeygames.com will launch with our first-ever online game, and thedarkafter.com and cryptmonkey.net are next up after that.
If you've poked around the shop lately, you may have noticed things looking a little different. That's not a glitch — it's the start of a full redesign we've been chipping away at behind the scenes, and we're genuinely excited to finally talk about it.
Why we're redoing the shop
Honestly? The old shop was starting to feel like it was built for a smaller catalog than the one we actually have now. Between the resin and PLA miniatures, terrain, tabletop gear, and our growing lineup of games and books, browsing wasn't as easy as it should be. The new design leans into a darker, moodier aesthetic that actually feels like it belongs next to a shelf of painted minis — bigger imagery, cleaner category browsing, and pages that don't fight you when you're just trying to find that one gargantuan you've had your eye on.
We're rolling the new look out section by section, so don't be surprised if things look a little mismatched for a bit while we finish the rest of the shop. Bear with us — it's worth it.
It doesn't stop at the shop
Here's the part we're most excited about: this redesign is really just phase one of a bigger refresh across everything we run.
cryptmonkeystudios.com and cryptmonkeygames.com are both getting rebuilt from the ground up next. New look, new structure, and a much better home for everything we're working on — minis, games, books, all of it.
And cryptmonkeygames.com is getting something extra special: our very first online game. We've never shipped anything digital before, so this is a genuinely new chapter for us, not just a website refresh. We'll have more to share on what it actually is as we get closer to launch — for now, just know it's coming, and it's going to live right on the new games site.
Down the road
Once those two sites are live, thedarkafter.com and cryptmonkey.net are next in line for their own updates. We don't have exact dates for those yet, but they're very much on the roadmap and not an afterthought.
